It was a dual of runs on Friday evening at Lomira.

Lomira was able to make more of them to get the 49-28 Flyway dual win against Omro.

One of the key junctures was after Omro (5-8 overall, 1-2 in Flyway) won three straight 6-point matches. Mason Boerner pinned Jack Baron, Cade Sowls got a forfeit win and Avery McFadin pinned Cleary Twohig to cut Omro's deficit to 28-24.

Lomira (7-6, 3-0) rolled out its two captains in the next two weight classes to extend the lead back out.

Coach Adam Kinyon bumped Marshall Hanke up to 144, where he beat Jason La Kosh 18-1 to earn the technical fall, a 5-point win.

Fellow senior Marek Lisiecki followed that up with a technical fall of his own at 150, beating Logan Carley 17-1. Those two wins extended Lomira's lead to 38-23.

"Their stud wrestlers lined up with our stud wrestlers pretty well," Kinyon said. "Always have full confidence in Marshall and Marek, whoever they're wrestling.

"Omro's a good team and they're really young, too."

Lomira's other two big team scoring runs came early and late. Josh Polster pinned Dean Muller at heavyweight, which was the third weight class of the dual.

Polster said getting bonus-point wins early helped set the tone.

"We knew this Omro team was a good team coming into this," Polster said. "We all knew that we had to try and get 6 [points]. Six in a dual meet is huge, especially starting off and getting that momentum is huge."

Jordan Lisiecki wrestled up to 120 and earned a 12-3 major decision against Mason Malnory, though Malnory was questionably denied back-points in the second period.

"Kind of bumped Jordan up to one of their better wrestlers at 120 and he got the job done," Kinyon said. "Always have faith in him to get the job done wherever he is."

Those two wins were mixed in with Omro forfeits at 215, 106 and 113.

Lomira won the final two weight classes. Kolton Wagoner beat Nick Steffen 17-0 at 165 and Jayden Gibson pinned Jacob Lee at 175 to close out the win.

"I knew what we had at the end, and I knew we could get two wins there," Kinyon said.

Omro's other wins came at 190, where Fox Hernandez pinned Luke Selzler in the second period, and 157, where Dylan La Kosh got a 20-3 technical fall against Cyle Zinner.
